The District Attorney's rely on the police officers for the evidence in order to indict anyone of any charge. They do not want to have a bad relationship with the police force because the police could decide to not fully be upfront about the evidence they have. Why would they use their own evidence against their own people? If communities are to become the ones to charge an officer's, then the DA’s would not have to ruin the ‘bond’ between them and the police force. It would allow less bias opinions and it is directly from the community that the incident is affecting. They would have a better view point on the situation and be able to all come together as one on how the problem should be resolved. There are multiple solutions that have been covered throughout this essay that are needed to happen in order to decrease police brutality. Body cameras, police having to pay, and community interactions are all needed in order to stop these acts of injustice. It is time for people to open their eyes to the events around us. If we want to see any change, then we must stop hiding and stand up for what we believe
