Before educating teens about eating disorders most high schools in the country ignored the taboo topic. Schools were not sure if educating teens on eating disorders was their place to educate or for the families. Many people thought that if educators would teach teens about eating disorders teens would soon acquire one. There are now many different curriculums on how to educate students on eating disorders and many schools around the country are now using them in their schooling.
