unpredictable situations. You never know what to expect. Over one million immigrants are admitted into the United States every year. That’s 13% of the United States residents. They receive government assistance such as food stamps and Medicare. They get to go to school for free. We provide immigrants these benefits and much more, but yet we cannot help our own people who need it. I’m not saying keep all immigrants out, but how is it that we can provide for them and not our own people? Now we have 10,000 Syrian and Iraqi refugees trying to come over into the United States.
Understanding that they are trying to come to a safe place, but we do not know what to expect. What if they are terrorist in hiding? Shouldn’t our own well-being be the first thing protected before theirs? Coming here, they would get free food and shelter, even some would get benefits. What’s the plan when all the chaos ends in their country? Not all will leave our home. They know it would be too good here and not want to pass up what we have to offer. The benefits that we could provide to our homeless would be taken. Why don’t we focus on our people? If we can give 10,000 refugees food and a place to stay, then why can’t we do that for our own people? That would be a quarter of the homeless veterans who well deserve it. A safe place could be built for a place for the refugees provide with the essentials to stay until everything
ends. We tend to focus more on the problems happening around us than the actual problem happening in the United States. Homeless? Unemployment? Those problems easily could decline. If we started making American made products, this would produce more jobs which could help a lot get to where they need to be. Jobs are limited now days are hard to find and find one where you bring enough home to support your family. The national debt could even decline. Open programs to veterans who have come back from a deployment to gain support such as part time jobs that could slowly help get back to the civilian way of life. Problems tend to be left alone instead of actually dealt with.
We, the people, need to unite in a time of chaos and defend what is ours and the people around us. Together, we Can work together to destroy homelessness. We can provide what is need to protect what is ours. This is our country
