He believes our healthcare system is over regulated and that more government intervention only adds to the problem. When the government intervenes in health care, it actually raises the price of coverage and decreases competition. Rand Paul believes that more “freedom to choose and innovate” will ensure that our healthcare system remains the best in the world. By this he means that, we as Americans, have it better than most people of other countries, but that doesn’t mean we should stop progressing. We should always strive to be the best nation we can be, not just better than others.
