career in Major League Baseball. Stark continues to write, “how can you have a Hall of Fame without the Hit King in it”()? Stark poses the question that many people have asked over the years of Roses banned. Mr.Stark continues to show his passion towards allowing Rose to gain entrance into the Hall of Fame. He writes, “ nope, this is history. This is about having a Hall of Fame That tells the true story of what has Happened in Baseball through the years: the good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful, the inspiring, the embarrassing”(). Stark believes that Cooperstown should be able to tell the story of one of the most outstanding players in all of MLB history. Stark explains his point by saying, “all 4,256 of the Hit King’s hits counted right? Not one of them has ever been stripped, asterisked up or erased from the record books. He never had to give back his MVP trophy or his rookie of the year award”(). Roses accomplishments still are with him even though he is consider banned from the MLB. Rose’s accomplishments are the same from when he was a player. Every year when the new ballots come out reporters will always pick on either the guys who they think will gain entrance or debate whether or not one person should be allowed for their PED use. Stark says that, “we can’t keep all the ‘cheaters’ out for the rest of time”(). Stark has a point that we cannot keep all chaeters out of the Hall of Fame forever. Jayson and other people believe that The MLB is holding back the true history of baseball while other people, although who also deserve to be equally recognized, should not have been placed in the Hall of Fame before one of baseballs most Profound players. On the other side of the spectrum other people believe rose should not be able to gain entrance.
Victor Barbose think that Pete Rose should not be allowed in the Hall of Fame. Barbose quotes Rob Manfred, MLB commissioner, “…..The rule is clear that if you bet on baseball you will be banished for life”(). This rule has been in effect with baseball since the beginning of its existence. Rose admitted to betting during his time as manager for the Cincinnati Reds, but not as a player. Barbose Strongly states that, “in majority of cases, we’re all for giving second chances to people. Sometimes though, due to the nature of the crime or misdeed, forgiving the individual seems implausible”(). Even though sometime we come clean with our crimes, sometimes you are unable to gain the forgiveness of others. Rose has yet to put that charm on people to put his name back on the
ballot. Barbose says that there two major factors that keep Rose from being in the Hall of Fame. His first statement is, “ there is a pervading feeling that he is still holding something back concerning his ‘admission’”(). Barbs has stated strongly throughout his article that Rose has held things back from the press and Many fans of the MLB. Getting his point across even further, Barbose states, “… whatever amount of truth he has indeed told is just too little too late”(). Rose has held to much information out from the press, and with his age claiming up ladder, his time for him to tell the truth is disappearing faster than he thinks.
