Green’s childhood played a negative role in his life and had a big effect on his disorder. I feel that since his younger years were filled emotions and not fitting in with people his age, Schizophrenia came on easier. He wasn’t born during the winter time, but he was born in October. I think being born during a seasonal change might have had an effect on him becoming schizophrenic. In my research, I never came upon anything that had to deal with his parents. I would like to know if his parents ever reached out for help for their superstar of a son. His band members and those who were around him knew that Peter wasn’t acting as himself for long period of time, but why did no one attempt to get him help any sooner? The first time that Peter was put into a mental institution was after he threatened his accountant with a shot gun. I believe that being on the road for days and not adjusting to the lifestyle he was in, contributed to his diagnosis. I feel that if he wasn’t on the road as much and if the band would have taken breaks, he might have been able to take time to adjust. I imagine that if his band members would have tried to meet him in the middle with the charity issue, he might not have acted out as much.
