Although I was surfing the channel that night, I switched over just as he took the stage. I remember seeing him play that guitar and it was like watching a magician effortlessly pull off tricks after tricks from his pool of hats. Being smooth and polished, Paisley played like he was somewhere else, hitting those strings one by one creating a beautiful mixture of the symphony and bluesy melodic sounds. As I watched in awe, I thought “Wow, he played the heck out of that guitar!”. In other words, I knew this guy was special. Now, eight years later, I’m writing about him receiving one of the biggest honors apparently of any musician’s career. Rock on Mr. Paisley! Rock the heck
