It hosts more than fifty programs every year. The programs are produced in Clive David Theatre, a 2000-seat, intimate and state-of-the-art theatre that delivers an educational, entertaining and innovative experience to music lovers. Some of the artists who perform in these public programs include Terence Blanchard, Fonseca, Ringo Star, Dionne Warwick, Dwight Yoakam, Tom Morello, Annie Lennox, Brain Wilson, Smokey Robinson and Herb Alpert.

The aim of the museum is to educate people the cultural importance and history of the American music, create and explore new types of music from the existing roots so as to inspire the next generation. These targets are achieved through exciting exhibitions, cutting-edge interactive and innovative programming, which usually begin at Los Angeles before proceeding to other parts of the world.
