Peter Parker Research Paper
Have you ever thought what you would do if you had super human powers and the ability to do nearly anything? On a class trip to a nuclear laboratory, Peter Parker was bit by a spider that had been genetically modified to increase strength, speed, and capabilities. He did not realize that he had been bitten by the spider until he saw the unusual welt on his hand grow. He soon realized that he had these super human powers and, as a science protégée, he was intrigued by his super strength. Peter was empowered by these super powers and realized that he could help others and stand up to harmful people, as he knew all too well what it felt like to be a victim at the hands of bullies. He also gained much self-confidence and was able to approach …show more content…
He was also willing to put himself in harm’s way to save others. In this way, Spiderman is like a firefighter. Firefighters and other first responders portray the qualities manifested in a superhero, in the real world. These men and women stand in front of danger, run into burning buildings, and put their lives in jeopardy every day to rescue strangers. Risking life and limb to save people is a quality that is demonstrated in both superheroes and first responders. I hope to become a certified volunteer firefighter so I can help others. Peter made a conscious decision not to seek personal recognition and fame because he chose to keep his identity hidden, behind Spiderman’s mask. I think it is hard for Peter not to reveal to his true love Mary Jane that he is Spiderman. It takes a person of strong character to not seek personal gain and put others ahead of ones self. When Mary Jane’s life hung in the balance, he of course wanted to save her life but his true motive was to save the life, just as it was for every other person he

In Sam Raimi's Spiderman 3, the hero archetype is demonstrated through the antagonist Peter Parker. The need of a hero shows that people in today's society are in need of saving and are not capable of protecting themselves. This in itself is something that people should be considered about. It clearly reflects that people are becoming dependent on others to save them and are not able to be independent. Not only is it an extremely selfish act of the people, but all the responsibilities are then dropped onto one person's shoulders. One person can only withstand so much responsibility before they cannot take anymore. This responsibility forces Peter to make unfair sacrifices in his life. The hero archetype also shows the generic dasmil in distress which is rather degrading for women. This archetype shows how irresponsible today's society is and how things desperately need to change.…

The sun hits my window sill, breaching the gap in my curtains. Instantly, I awakened with a smile of gratification. At the drop of a dime, I remove my dinosaur pajamas, darting through the corridors of my house, racing to get into the TV room so I can catch my hero in action. My heart pounds against my young chest as I watch Bugs Bunny present the title sequence to my favorite show Looney Toons. I sit on the cold hardwood floor, legs bouncing up and down, barely able to tame my excitement. As the show starts, I nervously watch and listen, awaiting the wild chase of the most intense pursuit…

Admit it, all of us must have imagined, at least once, of being able to fly, to have super-strength, superhuman speed, or any kind of skill nobody else have. Whether you are an innocent little kid or a grown-up, having superpowers is always something we wish we could have. Imagine you can teleport, travel in time, communicate with people telepathically, or be invisible. Why got caught in traffic jams if we can fly? Why have hard times with your pet if you understand animal languages? Why go to hospital if you have power of instant-healing? Every day of your life will never be tedious. And who would not be astonished of seeing you having superpowers? You will be the spotlight to appear on TV whom everybody adores. Your portrait will always appear on the front of the newspapers and magazines. Who would refuse to have such a perfect life? If I could have superpowers, I will certainly choose many powers to own, including mind control, time travel, and invisibility.…
