happening and wanted to keep his people involved as much as possible. My opinion on Hatshepsut is that she should be the second best because she was the first female that was ever a pharaoh.
She made a goal to go out get noticed and make history and I think she did so. She got out to other countries and spoke to them about what she had in mind. She was also a peacemaker. She made temples, and had one of the most memorable tombs of the time. Akenhaten was third in my book because he wasn’t just a pharaoh but he was more down to earth and not looked high on like some of the other pharaohs. One of the accomplishments he had was he created a new capital that was eight miles long. He was the most powerful king and was the first to believe in one god. Remses II was my fourth choice because he was like a warrior. He was one to rather have peace then war. One thing he did was lie to people about what happened at the battle to make himself sound like an amazing warrior which I am not sure who else would of done that. He built one of the most amazing temples that had 134 columns. He was good at propaganda and signed a treaty with the
Hittites. Tutankhamen is my fifth choice because he was a young pharaoh that didn’t get much done because he died after ten years. He was made pharaoh at nine years old and brought back the old gods that Akenhaten tried to get rid of. When he was found he was the one with the largest amount of money and riches. My opinion on Tutmosis III is that he should be sixth because he was big on war and fighting to get what he wanted. He made sure everything was recorded by scribes that helped researchers and archeologists find out more about what he did while he reigned that was Hatshepsut was the pharaoh. He defeated Hatshepsut and controlled Nubia and Syria. I chose Kamos and Amos as the last pharaohs to choose from because they were also warrior pharaohs. Kamos died in battle and Amos reigned as pharaoh for 25 years. He took all of Egypt back from the Hyksos and conquered Nubia. Amos wanted to make sure that foreigners wouldn’t rule Egypt ever again. Having to choose which pharaohs were the best and why was difficult. Everyone has their own opinions on them and I have shown why I think each pharaoh should be ranked the way they are. Each one brings something new to the table and you really have to think about where you stand in the decisions that they make and what you would do if it were you. This is why I chose the peaceful leaders as my top choices because they showed strong evidence of how they were peaceful and the outcome of what they did.
