for Health services and Information Management and ended up changing it to Business Administration.
One day as I was attending class, I felt that something needed to change because it felt as if I was going nowhere fast. It was then that I started looking into other career options and programs for them. I happened to come across something on Pharmacy technician and decided that I was going to was Pharmacy Technician, I started researching the possible jobs and searched if it was in high demand. Pharmacy technicians serve an important role in the health care industry. I want to become a pharmacy technician because I enjoy helping people as well as educating people so they can eventually help themselves. There are several reasons for which I believe that an opportunity to serve as a pharmaceutical technician would be a terrific asset to me in my current and future pursuits. My goal, ultimately, is to build a lifelong and fulfilling career somewhere in the wonderful,
benevolent world of healthcare--to somehow be personally involved with the treatment of diseased, chronically-ill, and otherwise biologically disadvantaged persons among us. I hope to fashion my own place in this "big" healthcare-picture, as a people-oriented representative working somewhere pivotal within the sector. The healthcare sector being my footing because it will remain a continuously strengthening, changing, evolving, ever-emerging presence. As long as there is science and technology, there will be biomedical-pharmaceutical interventions to help alleviate suffering in the sick. Another perk of being a pharmacy technician is it offers the chance to work closely with a variety of people. Not only do pharmacy technicians work closely with a certified pharmacist, but they also work with a variety of customers by helping them place prescription orders and file insurance forms.
An opportunity to work as a pharmacy technician will, no doubt, give me a terrific opportunity to work in a hands-on environment in such a setting. I will be exposed to many of the most up-to-date treatments utilized for the seemingly-endless list of diagnoses, diseases, autoimmune conditions, hereditary defects, chronic debilitating illness, nervous conditions, and other such problems. It is for this very reason that I am absolutely certain that working as a pharmacy technician is the perfect job for me, as I can feed my thirst for knowledge about what ails humankind and how we are equipped to treat, heal, or otherwise deal with this ailments. My goal is to receive my Pharmacy Technician diploma and national certification, gain experience possibly through an externship and eventually acquiring a position within the Veterans Administration.
