Physical science is the study of physics and chemistry of nature. From the materialist and functionalist viewpoints it overlaps the life sciences where ecology studies the evidences of historical facts or evolution. Physics along with Mathematics and Chemistry is one of the fundamental sciences because the other natural sciences like biology, geology etc., deal with systems that seem to obey the laws of physics. According to Physics, the physical laws of matter, energy and the fundamental forces of nature govern the interactions between particles and physical entities (such as planets, molecules, atoms or the subatomic particles). Some of the basic pursuits of physics are describing the nature, measuring and quantifying of bodies and their motion, dynamics and so on. But what I want to touch up on is mass, force and weight. Considering that I am a Construction Management major, I believe these are the top key physics implemented in the pursuit of construction. Mass is a measure of the amount of material in an object, weight is the gravitational force acting on a body (although for trading purposes it is taken to mean the same as mass), force is a measure of the interaction between bodies and load usually means the force exerted on a surface or body.
Mass is a measure of the amount of material in an object, being directly related to the number and type of atoms present in the object. Mass does not change with a body's position, movement or alteration of its shape unless material is added or removed. The unit of mass in the SI system is the kilogram (kg). Mass can also be defined as the momentum of resistance to acceleration.
In the trading of goods, weight is taken to mean the same as mass, and is measured in kilograms. Scientifically, however, it is normal to state that the weight of a body is the gravitational force acting on

    1. define weight as the force on an object to a gravitational field Mass is the measure of how heavy an object it. Every object has a mass which is static and does not change with any force exerted on it or from it. However, weight is the force which is exerted upon an object when it comes into contact with or nearby a gravitational field of some strength. Weight is a force ஃ a vector quantity.…

The biggest equation to come out of Einstein's theory of special relativity is E = mc^2, which tells us how E, the energy, M, the mass, and C, the speed of light, are related to each other. This mass we are using is not the same as weight. An object's mass is how much stuff is inside of it, while its weight is how hard gravity is pulling on it. This is why when you measure your weight in outer space, it is close to zero.…

For falling bodies, the force is the weight pulling down a body and the resistance is that of the medium (air, water, etc.). Aristotle noted that a falling object gains speed, which he then attributed to a gain in weight. If weight determines the speed of fall, then when two different weights are dropped from a high place the heavier will fall faster and the lighter slower, in proportion to the two weights. A ten pound weight would reach the Earth by the…

Structure is one of the most essential elements in the development of an architectural form. There needs to be the right amount of tension, compression, and all of the gravitational forces have to equal to zero. Tension is the act of stretching or the state or degree of being stretched and compression is a force squashing, squeezing, or pressing down on an object. Gravitational force is the force due to gravity.…
