Strategies for Educating Children with Physical Disabilities, Health Impairments and Multiple
Disabilities
There are multiple kinds of physical disabilities, ranging from Spina Bifida, Cerebral
Palsy to any kind of congenital deformity. Health impairments can include illnesses such as cystic fibrosis or brittle bone disease. Teaching children with special needs, be it mentally or physically, requires different and unique practices, often requiring the teacher to reimagine teaching methods and strategies for each student as their needs change as well. For children with physical disabilities, health impairments and multiple disabilities, there are many practical teaching strategies that can be found in texts, from others with experience in the field as well as on the web.
