In this essay I would be writing about the main features of the human body and there functions. The major systems of the human body are Cardiovascular System, Digestive System, Endocrine System, Urinary System, Immune System, Muscular System, Nervous System, Reproductive System and Respiratory System. The human body is a complex collection of various systems, which work together to make us live our everyday life. The human body consists of biological systems that consist of organ, tissues and connective tissue.
The Cardiovascular system is made up of the heart, blood vessels e.g. arteries, veins and capillaries (small blood vessels). Cardiovascular transport carbon dioxide, a waste product, from the body to the lungs, breathing out removes carbon dioxide from the body. When we breathe in air through our mouth and nose it travels to our lungs.
The Digestive System starts in the mouth and end up in small intestines where the nutrients are absorbed from the food that is broken down. It contains different types of enzymes to help break down the food and absorb the nutrients for the body. There are groups of organs that make up the Digestive System. The first are the organs of the Gastrointestinal (GI) also known as the Alimentary Canal. The second group are accessory structures such as the teeth, tongue, and glands lining the (GI) tract. They said the mechanical and chemical breakdown of foods. (I. Edward Alcamo, Ph.D Anatomy Coloring Workbook Second Edition New York 2013)
The Endocrine System is made up of glands that produce and secrete hormones, chemical substances produced in the body that regulate the activity of cells or organs. The major glands of the endocrine system are the hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pineal body, reproductive organs and pancreas.
The Immune System is a network of cells, tissues, and
