Physiotherapy Personal Statement
I have always been fascinated with how the human body works, repairs itself and can be improved through more exercise and better eating habits.
My enchantment with the body and understanding how it functions has fuelled my desire to pursue a career in physiotherapy as it incorporates science and sports that are all areas of specific interest to me.
The flexibility and variety of career paths available and the practical emphasis in this profession, as well as the prospect of improving someone's standard of life and well-being particularly appeals to me.

While I was living in South of Birmingham couple of years ago, I also experienced the drastic change in the condition of an old lady (neighbor) with arthritis in her hands. By massaging and therapeutic exercise over a period of weeks, there was an exceptional improvement in her muscle strength and joint mobility. However, it was the expression of glee, as she was able to write with no pain, that confirmed my aspiration to not only do a Masters qualification in physiotherapy but to help the public by understanding their needs for a better …show more content…
Over the years I have observed that for a Physiotherapist' one needs to be courteous, sensitive to people needs, friendly and a good listener, and I believe I have all these qualities and have demonstrated throughout my working context in both care and other industrial settings.
I have extensive experience in Health Care (working as a Physiotherapist and as a Health Care Assistant), conducted a research on Health Care Management and Volunteering in National Health Services NHS Birmingham. Furthermore, my educational and working experience of other industries have also developed me as a mature person.
