At the age of 13, Picasso designed some of his first oil paintings, including family members and scenery. He had begun to exhibit and sell his work on a small scale. Later on in that same year, Picasso’s little 7-year old sister had tragically died from diphtheria. After that traumatic event, the family had moved from Màlaga to Barcelona. At that visit, Picasso had helped customize costumes and sets. During that time, he had met Olga Khokhlova at the Le Tricorne Ballet where Olga had performed. After she had performed, she had quit the ballet ‘crew’ and followed Picasso back to Barcelona to his family. Picasso had fallen in love and had started to do some painting of her, and soon started a timeline of the ‘Rose Period’. Soon enough, the two of them had gotten married and had a son named Paulo. But since some communication troubles, soon after, Olga and Picasso's relationship had deteriorated. Later, his new type of art had been put into a timeframe called the ‘Blue Period’ .
