Jack and Ralph. They both are leaders but different types of leaders. I see Jack as more of a dictator or extremely violent with full control. I am glad Ralph is chief; I started helping out more because he seemed stressed about being chief. Well until next time!
Dear Diary (entry three), chaos has reached the island.
Yesterday Ralph, Piggy, and I were assaulted in the night. Jack and his hunters buffeted us, and during the whole process they stole Piggy’s glasses! He needs them to see so we stormed over to Castle Rock to ask for them back. Then the worst thing happened…they rolled a boulder onto Piggy and he was killed. Over the past weeks I had grown close to Piggy and once he was murdered I had finally understood it all, Piggy was the one who smiled at me during the first meeting. I had then remembered him pulling me out of the crashed plane while I was half passed out. He had saved me and I stood there and had watched him die. My mom used to tell me that I didn’t have a temper and wouldn’t get mad (wow once I speak of my mom I realize I have forgot about other life on the Earth). I am angry though; I abhor Jack for killing my friend, he deserves the worst. I still remember Piggy saying, “Which is better–to be a pack of painted Indians like you are, or to be sensible like Ralph is?” (Golding 206), Piggy had always stood up for Ralph and I had admired
him.
