Pitbulls Characteristics

Pit bulls, in order for them to behave well, need an owner that will work with them and give them a proper environment. Before taking on the challenge of raising a pit bull, one must know that it does require a certain amount of work and a considerable amount of time. Pit bulls are tremendous animals, however, can be challenging to raise, and according to therescuetrain.org, "Pit bulls have great physical and mental characteristics that make them excellent partners for responsible, active, and caring owners." This evidence illustrates that pit bulls have extensive qualities as long as their owner is willing to be engaged in their lifestyle and not just toss them aside. Though it will take great effort to train the dog, it will be worth it
at the end when the pit bull is positively behaving. Additionally, as the book What a Dog Wants by Arden Moore says, though pit bulls are already naturally dominate animals, "dominance tends to develop in dogs who lack proper obedience..."(Moore 181). If the pit bull does not get trained to obey, it will get too dominant and could, in turn, hurt others. Pit bulls need to learn what is right and what is wrong so that it does not obtain more dominance than it naturally has. The simple fact remains that, if one owns a pit bull, there needs to be a great deal of patience and time created to work out the needs of the dog.
