1. I found a section called tools for parents that contained abundance of information. Subjects such as parent-teen relationships, puberty 101 for parents, sex, the internet, and texting were just a few of the topics. I think this is a great resource for parents that may have a hard time discussing sex or any sexual related matters to their pre-teens and teens.
2. I located a section that was about having a fulfilling relationship, ending a relationship, and general help with relationships. I remember as a teen the role of our local Planned Parenthood was primarily to offer women wellness checkups and pass out birth control.
3. The website states get birth control
online. You can actually sign up and have a video visit with a Planned Parenthood provider. They then will decide what birth control is right for you and ship it to you by mail.
4. This web page has segment on health care for men. There are informational facts about men’s sexual health issues, help links and a health center locator.
5. The web offers a “chat now” button. It offers you the opportunity to chat with a health educator privately, if you have had unprotected sex and maybe worried about a pregnancy or STD. Discussions such as these maybe especially difficult for teens to speak with someone face to face. I feel this is a great way for them to receive information.
