The Congressional hearing is another step to punishing the company for breaking laws. Planned Parenthood is altering their abortion techniques to get better organs, for example in a way that the heart would still be beating or fully functioning. Doing so may profit them, but could potentially harm the mother of the unborn fetus. This is pro-choice because it is defending the mother against harmful techniques to fulfill her wish to rid of the baby. The Congressional hearing isn’t being used to put a stop to the abortion clinic completely but rather punish Planned Parenthood for violating federal laws. Another piece of evidence about the community being pro-choice is the way the quotes from employees of Planned Parenthood are used. For example, Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Savita Ginde stated, “We don’t want to do just a flat-fee per baby of like, $200. A per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it”. The usage of this quote makes the reader feel disgusted towards Planned Parenthood for trying to make such a large profit on the sales of aborted babies, thus trying to persuade the
