Since this concept was so ahead of Plato’s time, the cave allegory broadened horizons for many people living an average life. This story opened up minds and intrigued almost every person to think about more than just their everyday experiences and to bring into perspective the knowledge that can be obtained in their massive world. U.S. Marshall Teddy Daniels and his new partner Chuck travel to an island that is home of a hospital for the criminally insane in order to solve the case of a missing patient, Rachel. While pursuing clues and interviewing patients about her whereabouts, Daniels and Chuck begin to suspect the staff and guards are turning on them. Daniels is already being haunted by the fact that he recently lost his wife in an arson fire at their apartment, but the agents then realize that the island workers are trying to subtly trap them and force them to stay in the hospital and never return to the main land or seek other help. Daniels begins to lose trust in Chuck and hides from him because he thinks he is a double agent.
