With Plato’s Apology and Plato’s Phaedo, they discuss Socrates challenges and beliefs of the fate of the soul. In Plato’s “Apology, Plato is discussing his teacher Socrates’ trial. Although it is called Plato’s Apology, it is not really an apology but a defense. The word apology derives from the Greek "apologia," which translates as a defense, or a speech made in defense. It is Plato’s version of Socrates defense, so he might bias. Socrates is accused of two charges and is defending himself against those charges:
“It asserts that Socrates does injustice by corrupting the young and by not believing in the gods in whom the city believes, but in other daimonia ”
