Pluto As A Planetary Planet
Can you answer that? Well, a planet is described as a celestial body that is in an orbit of the Sun, has a near round shape, and doesn't enter an asteroid field. Simple answer, right? No, Mostly because when Pluto was a planet, it had most of all of those features, only that it didn't orbit the sun like the closer planets. Pluto was considered a dwarf planet after only fulfilling 2 requirement, no Planeteering for this guy. Alright then, what is the definition of a planet? In the dictionary, a planet is defined as "a celestial body moving in an elliptical orbit around a star," a clear reason that anything orbiting a star can be a planet. Then why do we dismiss the thought that Pluto is a celestial being that revolves around the Sun? Because Pluto revolves at an erratic orbit, it takes too long to get even near the Sun. I swear, one last question. …show more content…
Well, one can debate that Pluto can be a planet, others think otherwise. But one Scientist by the name of Alan Stern says that science is not a democracy, its either right or wrong (I vote right). Stern also said "its atmosphere is bigger than the Earth's". Pluto has the atmosphere to be considered livable, therefore, it can be a planet. Just have industrial heaters and we'll be fine. In all seriousness, the atmosphere is double than the Earth's own, we have to adapt to the double amount of nitrogen. In a way, this planet is livable to an extent, but the risk is to great to leave Earth as we know it. If only we had an Earth 2 like the Flash, ah but I digress. Many answers are better left to professionals. As long as I know that we have a better chance at scouting, we'll be fine. Thank you and

“Goldilocks and the Three Planets” “Goldilocks and the Three Planets” is an article written by Neil de Grasse Tyson that sums up the creation of the planets and why life is on Earth. Pluto's castle could only be described as menacing. Its black stone walls were embedded in rubies, sapphires, and other valuable gem stones. The palace was only two stories, small by any god's standards. He had exactly four windows; two in the front, two in the back. All of the windows had bars over them, as if their purpose was to keep those inside trapped forever. The outside of his home had four walls, but inside it was far more extravagant. When you entered the palace, which no one ever did, the floor was covered in red, velvet carpet and had walls made from solid gold. In his throne room on the second floor, the Lord of the Underworld himself sat in his simple, black throne. Pluto was a tall man, six feet six inches, with extremely pale…

Our planet was developed within the process of evolution - step by step. Millions of suns originate in the nebula and disperse into the space. The pounding of horses’ hooves can be heard from miles away. The rhythmic drumming of their steel clad feet was enough to shake mountains and bring gods to their knees. They were known by many, their coats the color of starless nights and their eyes like rubies. They had names of course; Pluto was a kind man who named all that he loved. Orphnaeus, Aethon, Nycteus and Alastor were his four best steeds and they all served him loyally for many years, pulling carts of stone to and from his mine. You see, Pluto was a miner, the best one in all of the land. He could sniff out a silver ore deposit from six hundred yards away, making him quite famous among the wealthy families all over Europe. Every king wanted Pluto to work for them but every time…

What I have read was an artical published on September 4th, 2006 on wether Pluto was considered a planet. This Article described the man who found it (Clyde Tombaugh) and how they decided to cvlassify Pluto in our solar system. Since his death in 1997, Timbaugh was still in favor of Pluto being a planet. His ashes were put on the New Horizons space probe head for pluto and to arrive in 2015. Something I did not know before I read this article was the size of Plutos Diameter which is roughly 1400 Mi. For decades Pluto was considered to be the ninth planet of the solar system. It wasn't until 2006 that people started to speculate that Pluto wasn't in fact a "planet". The debate began when the International Astronomical Union created an official definition for the word "planet". Many believe that there isn't one specific definition of a planet. It was always known when a planet was a planet. In fact, astronomers aren't even sure how to define a "planet". However, they have been able to define a "dwarf planet" which is a celestial body within the Solar System. It has…
