When political correctness is brought up as an ideology, it is often times met with opposition. In fact, most of the time the term is only brought up when what it stands for is being opposed and rejected. The rise of political correctness or, “PC culture,” in our changing culture is viewed by many as a shift to controlling self-expression and the infringement on a individuals citizens First amendment rights.
