In comic books these days, superheroines are portrayed as sexists and copied of male heroes. This, in my opinion, is false. Superheroines are equally sexy as their male counterparts. Not only that, they promote feminine strength. They love, laugh, kill and are hurt, maimed or killed as regularly as their male counterparts. They are also known as feminist icons to women. They are an inspiration to women and teenagers all around the world. This is a huge step in the right direction for superheroines. Firstly, superheroines are equally sexy as their male counterparts. Not only do they promote feminine strength, the also promote good looks and are equally as good-looking as superheroes. People often think of superheroines as overly endowed or scantily clad. What about superheroes? Their clothing shows as much curves and skin as of the superheroines’. Superheroes may not be as curvy or as attractive as superheroines, they are however equally sexy to the opposite sex. Furthermore, superheroines promote feminine strength. They may dress in clothing that shows off their skin. However, they promote feminine strength and are inspirations for women and young girls out there. At the same time, they promote courage, beauty and power. This is what I love about superheroines, not only are they the weak spot for superheroes, they are also strong, independent women.
