Wallaroo meetup in Kadina, and form one group.
Plan
I plan to look at how Tanunda, Nurioopta and Angaston are coping with the zombie apocalypse and the remaining population. I believe, it would be in the towns best interests to work together, because there is a limited amount of healthy people.
Research
In my family there are six people. My Mum, Dad, myself (16), Vivienne (14), Nelson (10) and Monica (6). Therefore, there are four people that eat as much as an average adult, and two people that eat as much as an average child. The average child and adult should aim to ear near 8,700kj of food per day, to stay completely healthy. That’s 52,200kj of food per day to feed 6 people (52,200kj = 12476 calories). To put this into perspective, a cheeseburger has 303 calories, therefore 6 people need 42 cheeseburgers worth of calories per day (7 cheeseburgers per person, per day). The average male, female, adult and child should all be striving to drink at least two litres per day. Hence, my family would drink an average of 12 litres per day of a 225 litre wine barrel. One wine barrel would supply my family 19 days’ worth of drinking water.
Movement of Zombies from each town.
In summary, there are 11,412 males in the Barossa Valley area, and 11,396 Females.
The median age is 42, and there are a lot more adults than children. This means that there will be a high demand in food in the Barossa Valley, because the majority of the remaining population will most likely be adults, and adults obviously eat more. Tanunda and Nurioopta have an abundance in food, and will probably be able to cope with this. However, Angaston will struggle. There are merely, 2800 healthy people left in Tanunda, 2600 in Nurioopta and only 1100 in Angaston. Therefore, a good amount of people in Tanunda and Nurioopta are still fit and able to help out Angaston.
Present
Looking at the table and graphs, the remaining populations in Tanunda and Nurioopta will need to team up and help out the small population of Angaston. If the towns do not work together, there will be less survivor’s and a blood bath when it comes to finding food. However, if all three towns work together and share resources and shelter, it is very likely that 99% of people will survive the zombie apocalypse.
Iterations
With this update, the zombie population has risen to 80% in towns, and 40% in the city. After analyzing the table below, it might be wise to move to the city if the zombie populations rise any higher. There is now less than one thousand people in Tanunda and Nurioopta, leaving them dangerously vulnerable. In contrast, there is still well over 14,000 people in Gawler. In this case, the saying, “There is strength in numbers,” applies.
Reflection
In effect, my plan of all three towns teaming up to form one big community, would be very achievable and beneficial. If all three towns worked together, there would be a greater chance of survival, because of the limited numbers of healthy people in country towns. Nevertheless, if the zombie population increases any more, it may be in my best interests to move to the city, because there is still 14,000 people in Gawler.
