“A villain is just a victim whose story hasn’t been told” by Chris Colfer. Villains are sometimes misunderstood though most are just people that make the story exciting. Poseidon and Voldemort are two well known characters who are both villains at some point or another, but which is more evil? Lord Voldemort owns the title of a villain more than Poseidon.
Poseidon from Homer’s The Odyssey is a villain for three reasons: he is vengeful, powerful, and loyal. Villains usually strive to manipulate people into following them so they can become more powerful. To start, Lord Voldemort is a worse villain because he is evil, he kills random people just for fun and if he has an enemy, he will not stop until they are dead.
Some people will believe that he has his own reasons, but it must also be said that if a follower betrays him or runs away from him he will kill them which is what villains do. Furthermore, Lord Voldemort is more evil than Poseidon because he is powerful. Sadly,He is the most powerful dark wizard in the world which means no one can resist him and no one can survive, plus, people won’t speak his name because they're so afraid of him that the name makes people cower like dogs. While it is true that a strong person with power is a good thing, it is also true that if they use that power the wrong way it can be tragic which is what Voldemort did, this shows that he is a villain. Voldemort is also a worse villain because he is manipulative. He is manipulative because Voldemort gets people to follow him by having power, then he makes them kill for him. While it may be said that Voldemort doesn’t do anything to get followers, it also must be said that he puts them under the Imperious Curse if they refuse to follow him, that is
