Through out the book you came into contact with characters who changed for the poor and others transformed into someone superior. Even though, they all matter Orleanna Price stood out the most. The type of person she was, was so debatable, but for me she was the one to notice.
Her short but meaningful sections in the beginning lead us through the whole book. Orleanna change was not like the others, it was more heartfelt. I couldn’t help but sympathize with her and try to put ourselfs in her position. Kingsolver succeeded in proving that Orleanna’s character was the most important. Orleanna’s character is crucial because she leads us through the story, provides an example of a women and how her experiences changed her.
