It is important to first note that tests reflect the teacher’s capability to actually teach. According to the article “Standardized Tests Effectively Measure Student Achievement”, “Professionals should take pride in seeing good results from their work, and because testing reveals good work and aids rather than detracts from instruction, teachers should embrace it and even get paid for the good performance of their students” (Standardized Testing 19). Because teachers are able to see the kinds of results that their students accomplish, they can recognize the things that they themselves need to improve on. Adding to that, standardized tests make it easy for teachers to understand what their students need. This is important for schools to be aware of because it shows an effective way of getting students to prepare for their futures and appreciate their education. Furthermore, students that take standardized tests have a great chance at achieving their aspirations.
