In general, a suburbia is a place that everyone love to live in, because it is clean, quite and away from the busy city. Also, people in the suburbia are familiar with each other and will help when someone needs help. Having a car, having a stable job, owning a house and having a comfortable family is what the American dream is, and all those things could find in the suburbia. The reason why the suburban became into such
bad place is because the positive thinking in the people’s mind. In the suburban, people usually have what they need, so they don’t need to worry about to much. And because of this, it slowly change the ways of people’s thinking into more positively. As the result, the all Lisbon girls decide to commit suicides.
In the beginning of the movie, there is a scene showing the environment of the suburban, some people are walking on the street, some people are watering their yards, some people are playing sport and so on. Everything in the Suburbia looks wonderful. After the death of Cecilia, the whole community just change totally, People in the suburbia didn’t even help or show some support, They think everything should be okay as time pass. Instead they are gossiping to one another. Even the social media come to bother the Lisbon girls twice. The people didn’t think about the feeling of the Lisbon family or what do they need help.
