Good morning. Three years before I was born, my family picked up our first rescue pet. Her name was Gracie, and she had just been run over by a car, and completely neglected by her owners. At the age of two months, she roamed out into the road by herself, a seven-pound white Chihuahua, completely clueless. She got hit by a car that didn't see her, resulting in her skull being broken, lung damage, and broken legs. While My mother was doing her morning walk, she saw Gracie and picked her up immediately, and rushed her to the closest animal hospital. The vet told her there was nothing they could do, and my mother cleaned her bank account, but saved her life, letting Gracie live a healthy 17 years.
