Pregnant teenage females should be allowed to attend school
When a teenage female becomes pregnant her life becomes an unimaginable burden, especially if she is a student. Whether it is caused from shame and bullying, or by the decisions of authorities, she is forced to withdraw from school. The pregnant teenage female then worries how she will care for her child. Pregnant teenage females should be allowed to attend school for the sake of the female and her unborn child.
Firstly, everyone should have a right to education. Whether or not a teenage female is pregnant, that does not change the fact that she is human like everyone else. Preventing the pregnant teenage female from attending school is an act of depriving her of her own rights and capabilities. On the other hand, assuming that the father of the unborn child is a student, he whom is also responsible for the impregnation of the female is allowed to attend school without any consequences. This is unfair to the pregnant teenage female and should be classified as injustice. It takes two to cause a pregnancy; therefore there must be fairness in the system. There should be no discrimination by sex.
Secondly, education is necessary in the upbringing of children. It is at utmost importance to the pregnant female teenager and her unborn child’s future that she receives a proper education. If the parent is not taught the important aspects of her future career and the areas of a well-rounded nature which would affect her life, she would not be in the best position to pass on that nurturing aspect to her child. Without aid from the pregnant teenage female’s family, her unborn child’s father or an institution, the pregnant teenage female and her unborn child will be left liable to possible poverty due to the lack of education which she would greatly need if she were to apply for most jobs.
