Teen Mom Research Paper
A teen mom has a lot to carry on her back. From the time she becomes pregnant till the time of her due date. Teen moms are faced with many difficulties; finishing high school, going to college, and getting a job. Most teens are have it easier then others, but most have the hardest time dealing with these types of situations.
Finishing high school is one the top things a teen mom has to deal with. Once a teen becomes pregnant she starts to thing about everything but the baby growing inside of her. It goes from will the dad stay in the babies life to will I finish high school. A lot of teens drop out once they find out that they are pregnant. All because they look at the fact that their friends will talk bad about them or they will be the outcast of the school.

She is one of those teen moms that has to deal with raising a baby on her own, but she did what was best for her child. She didn’t let the fact that her baby's father didn’t want to help with the baby. She won't ever be the only teen mom raising a child finishing school and going to college all while raising a baby. She is one of those teen that had those thoughts "what if I had waited before having sex, maybe me and my baby would have a better life". She had her hopes and wishes but she pulled through and finished school and did right by her child.
A teen mom also need college to do better. Anyone that is still under the age of 21 is still considered a teen. They still have college and high school to finish. They have a whole life ahead of them to think about having children. But everyone is different, this young lady was in the 8th grade when she got pregnant with her son. She thought about everything except for the little egg growing inside of her. People told her that " she no longer has a future". She believed them and wanted to get an abortion but her parents told her that they wasn’t going to pay for to have one. Then she asked the baby's father if he would he help her out with their son. He told her " he wasn’t going to get a job because he has a scholarship for football and he is going to play football in college". She then took matters into her own hands. She finished high school while having a job, went to college, and still got a job as a medical technician. She didn’t think that she would ever get married but she did and now she lives happily with her son and husband. She no longer worries about her son's biological father meeting or ever seeing her son.
The life of a teen mom isn't easy at all. The number of teens giving birth has dropped, but teen pregnancy rate is still sky high. Meaning that girls still get pregnant and everything and most of them, keep the babies but a lot of them get abortions or have miscarriages. A couple of teen moms has stated that " sometimes, they feel they really messed up their lives by having sex at an early age". They aren't regretting having children they are just wishing that they wouldn’t have started having sex at an early age. A young lady named Jennifer said " it's really not worth losing your freedom". Once you have a baby you no longer have freedom to just go to parties, hangout with friends, or even just sleep in peace. These teens have their whole lives ahead of them, most wait most don't, and other things can happen.
Having a baby comes with a lot of responsibilities, and a lot of teens don't look at that. Teens don't look at what could happen after having sex, they look at what is going on during it. One thing a teen doesn't know is that babies take up a lot of time. Which mean it doesn't get easier, it actually gets harder. They have to try and balance school and work, then they would need someone to watch the baby. They also have to think of the fact that they are going to be spending more money then they think. They have to pay for pampers, whips, clothes, formula if the baby is feed by formula, bottles, etc. Nothing is easy about having or raising a baby, and teens just look at the fact that it will be fun to have a little baby.
When a teen becomes pregnant they have to think about a lot of different things. They have to make sure they have their doctors appointments set up, and they can't miss them. A teen has to get vitamins to keep the baby healthy while it is inside of her. They have to start preparing for the baby to come. They also have to make sure they don't stress over the simplest things because anything can harm the baby in any kind of way.
Teen moms think that having a baby is just a walk in the park. They believe that having a baby is like having a doll. When they first become pregnant they believe that its nothing but dressing the baby up and taking it for walks in the park. When in reality a baby is more stressful then trying to figure out what college your going to.
The easiest way for a teen to get pregnant is by not knowing how to use protecting. Most teen girls know nothing about the protecting a guy should use, so the guy doesn't even bother to use it. The fact that most teens don’t know how to use protecting is one of the leading causes to the teen pregnancies. Even though there are many other ways teen become pregnant one of the main reasons is because they don't have safe sex.
Having a baby isn't bad at all. Having a baby and not knowing how to raise or care for it is bad though. Lots of teens still have their parents that stick around and help them with the baby. Other teens parents kick them out because they don't even know what happened or they feel the child is being "grown".

finish high school, but her mother says "I'm not going to raise your baby for you, go get a job". The little girl that is in the 8th grade is going to have the hardest time finding a job. So she thinks of a plan B. she doesn’t want to quit going to school so she is going to put her baby up for adoption.
Lots of teens put their babies up for adoption. They didn’t want to have to struggle to raise the baby and they wanted the baby to have a better life. Some teens regret putting their babies up for adoption, only because they held that baby in their bodies for 9 months and agreed to not keep. Some teens are happy that they get to finish school with no stress on their shoulders, but deep down inside they wish they would have kept the baby.

Is because they have baby fever. They see all these other people having fun in public places with their babies or children and it makes another girl want to have a baby.these Hollywood people like Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, and Ciara put their maternity pictures all over the places , and it makes teen girls want to have a baby also. An teens do without thinking.
When a teen becomes pregnant a lot of the times the babies doesn't survive because a teen's body isn't quite ready to carry a child yet. An if a teen can't go though with natural birth she has less percentage of surviving a C-section. Teens have to take care of their bodies in order to even get pregnant and stay pregnant throughout the whole entire 9 months. Most of the risk of not being able to have a baby as a teen is the same as an adult not being able to have a baby either. If a teen drink or smokes or does any kind of a drug the teen will have to go through a lot to be able to become
pregnant.
Teen moms have to deal with negative comments that people say to them. They have to think about if they baby daddy will stay and help with the baby. Most teens can't handle someone talking bad about them. It makes them feel bad and is most likely leads to teens getting abortions so they can continue their lives. When they think of all the negative comments being thrown at them it causes to abuse or neglect their child because they get so overwhelmed.
If a teen isn't ready to be a parent then they should be more careful. Teens in this generation get pregnant and do not show any attention to the baby, but they show attention to the baby daddy. They worry so much about the father of the child they don't even know when the baby is sick or needs a diaper change. There are adults that can't have children that would love to take the baby from the teens.
Teens only get pregnant to keep their boyfriend, and that doesn't work at all. When a teen becomes pregnant the father of child moves on with his life. He doesn't want to have a child at n early age. Guys are 10 times different then females, males do not want babies until they are around 25-30 years of age. A female will have a baby with a guy at any age if they lie and say they promise to stick around and help.

Once the baby hits 4 then they have to start getting ready for the baby to go to school which means more money will be being spent.
