The amount of food that provided those additional energy is 3 cups of rice. It can provide 480 kcal. For the protein, it is around 3.5 oz. of chicken which can provide 24.5 grams of protein. The snack that I will create for Samantha is a cup of cereal with a cup of whole milk and a cup and of berries. The cereal can provide 160 kcan and 6 g of protein. The milk can provide 8 g of protein and ~145 kcal. The berries can provide 120 kcal. In total, this snack is able to provide Samantha 425 kcal and 14 g of protein. It mostly provided the additional energy to her. However, for the protein’s part, I recommend her to eat 1.5 oz. of chicken or fish more per day in order to get 10.5 g of protein.
