There are many uses for Aspirin. Prescription Aspirin is used to relieve symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, arthritis caused by the swelling of the lining of joints, osteoarthritis, arthritis caused by breakdown of lining of joints, systemic lupus erythematosus, the immune system attacks joints and organs, and can cause pain/swelling. These side effects include gastrointestinal bleeding and large doses can cause reactions such as vomiting, diarrhea, vertigo and hallucinations. Serious side effects consist of hives, rash, swelling of eyes, face, lips, tongue, or throat. There may also be difficulty breathing (wheezing), hoarseness, fast heartbeat, fast breathing, cold or clammy skin, ringing in the ears, loss of hearing, bloody vomit or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, bright red/ bloody stools, and black or tarry stools. Children or teenager are advised to ask doctor before using Aspirin considering it may cause Reye’s syndrome (fat builds up in brain, liver, and other organs) especially if child or teenager has a virus. Consumers are also urged to stop and call doctor if fever lasts longer than three days, pain lasts longer than 10 days, or the part of body in pain becomes red or
