I would choose this book because it reflects a lot on how us humans work and how we can work at times. This book is very unique and is dark in some ways and scary. The Lord of the Flies includes many themes that can benefit society in many ways and can teach society what to do and not to do. But we are going to focus on a very big theme that really affects how society works. In this book, there is a big theme/conflict, and that is Civilization vs Savagery. These 2 nouns are 2 instincts that are hidden somewhere inside of us humans. Civilization is being apart of a society, living with good moral values and commands, living by the rules and not breaking them, value others and your community. Savagery is very scary when it is in full effect. Savagery is when there is no society, we fend for ourselves, hunter-gatherers and in this book, there is a mix of savagery and civilization. Savagery, in other words, is doing what you want to gratify your desires, acting violent and killing others, and gaining power by force using violence. This book is driven by both civilization and savagery greatly, and those 2 nouns can really affect society. They affect how we live our life and how we act as humans. This book is a perfect example of how us humans can act and can show society what to do and not to do. The Lord of The Flies is the perfect book to preserve society for its great teachings that can benefit society, and teach society what to do and not
