Pressure Interlock System Analysis
E. Pressure Interlock System:
As per the norms, the main purpose of interlock is to prevent initiating an in feeding process to the grinding wheel unless the grinding wheel slide is in a forward or operative position. Both grinding & regulating wheels is equipped by pressure sensors. Using optional template, various types of from dressing can be obtained. a heavy duty grinding capability as well as high vibration dampening performance is provided by The hydrostatic Babbitt type spindle bearing is a 3 point support design and pressurized, filtered, recirculating oil system, eliminates metal-to-metal contact. A pressure switch interlock prevents spindle start-up until oil pressure is established. The spindle is stopped by the pressure interlock if the oil pressure fails, thus providing a longer spindle life. The machine base is

CONCLUSION
PLC provides a robust modular platform for automating complex machines and thereby simplifying complex processes. One of the leading automation companies offer high performance, The MITSUBISHI PLC, offers not only flexibility but also provides advancements in variety of feature. By using PLC, not only the scanning time is reduced but also the maintenance time of the system is limited. The compactness required in the system is achieved by upgrading the various grinding machines with the MITSUBISHI PLC. Thus the cycle time is reduced. Hence performance of the system is improved. Advantages of the in process control system are as follows:
1. Cycle time is reduced from a previous value to a new value.
2. Cost is reduced, as the PLC used is a highly reprogrammable device and is easy to maintain and troubleshoot when showing error.
3. Quality of the product is improved due to the inclusion of another grinding cycle and also the amount of bearings produced per hour has also improved, due to faster batch processing using PLC.
4. Reduction in Scrap formation.
5. Satisfactory results generated as per demands of the

There are 3 types of PLC, unitary, modular and rack-mounted. A unitary PLC is a stand alone unity, it has no room for expansion and works on its own. They are useful for automating activities such as stress testing. For example the stress testing of a hoist, instead of paying someone to manually control the hoists up and down movement leaving time in between each motion a PLC could be used instead. It could be set up to perform a number of cycles of movement of the hoist by the use of limit switches at the top and bottom of its movement to detect when to change direction. The time to wait between movements can be set so that the motor doesn't get strained. Other safety features could be added, for example, a set of sensors could be installed around the hoist to stop it's movement if some one comes too close to it. It would also be easier to set the parameters of the test and change them easily for testing a different hoist or piece of equipment. It would have to keep its functionality to a small scale as it can't be upgraded at all. A large variety of inputs and outputs could be used as most PLCs support analogue and digital. This would mean you could have temperature sensors in use on the analogue and through-beam sensors on digital. It is likely that this type of PLC would be mounted somewhere near the object it is controlling, most likely to a nearby wall.…

In this type of cam, the follower either reciprocates or oscillates in a plane parallel to the axis of the cam. In this a circumferential contour is cut in the surface of the cylinder, which rotates about its own axis. The follower rides in the groove of the cylinder surface and it reciprocates in the plane parallel to the axis of rotation. The contact end of the roller edge follower is roller and the rolling motion exists between the cam and follower. Compared to knife-edge followers, the rate of wear and tear is less due to less friction. These are used in aircraft engines and oil engines.…
