Organisations in the health and social care sector should ensure that the services users receive the care that they need. They should ensure that the health and social care givers provide better and quality service to the service users in order to improve their health and well being (Fullan, Hill and Carmel, 2006). This can be achieved through inter professional working. Inter professional working is defined as the process that involves members of different agencies or professionals working together to provide quality health and social care services to the service users. The principles of support that should be considered in the health and social organisation include the right of the service users to make informed choices, confidentiality, equality and inclusion, the right to human dignity and self worth and the right to social justice. In the case scenario therefore both Ahmed and Sylvia have the right to be awarded the care that they deserve besides their sickness conditions, race or gender.
Human dignity and worth
This principle ensures that the health and social care givers and workers support the service users or clients in a way the their human dignity and self worth is respected and maintained so as to help in boosting their self esteem (Goleman, Boyatzis and McKee, 2002). In the case scenario Ahmed who has Alzheimer’s disease violates Sylvia’s dignity and worth when he become becomes violent towards her. Thus an alternative care should be given to Ahmed to help with his condition.
