I. Identifying Information and Purpose of Interview On Wednesday, April 13, I, Madison Blagg, met with fellow classmate Brianna Gipson in order to recreate two client interactions with each other. For our first interview, I was the social worker and she was a client that we interviewed at Trinity Terrace, whom I’ll simply refer to as JF. We interviewed JF at Trinity Terrace twice for our HBSE II assignment, however she refused to be taped, recorded or sign forms other than the permission to interview her form. So in order to compensate we met in Rees Jones, each conducted a 15 minute interview and each took turns being the client and the social worker. From this point on I’ll simply keep to the role-play, that Brianna is JF, we were at Trinity Terrace, and that I was the resident clinical social worker on staff. Prior to meeting with JF, nurses on the 10th floor came to me and asked me to do an assessment with JF, as she was beginning to show signs of depression and regressing in social situations. In her adult life, she was a nurse at a hospital in Fort Worth and went on to become a hospital administrator. She was originally from New York and attended college up north, but relocated to Texas with her parents in her mid-20’s. JF cited struggling with loneliness and homesickness as well as undiagnosed depression. She explained that she has very strong Christian religious views and reported that her relationship with Jesus is what has helped her cope with losses she’s experienced (parents, friends, etc.).
