Introduction
Group 5 Consulting Co. has reached an agreement with Oil Incorporated to start the process of developing a design for their new project. Oil Incorporated’s new project includes the design of two new vessels, which will be provided at their refinery in New Orleans. Group 5 Consulting Co. has agreed to provide the very best staff to seek out old and new ideas, technologies, and designs to successfully complete the project.
Group 5 Consulting Co. will incorporate a project manager approach that will provide the needed support, time, and organizational skills to complete the job. The project manager will have the full authority of managing the project and seeing that it goes according to plan. The project manager will select a project team which will include personnel from the following departments: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Piping Design, Operations, and Civil Engineering. The project manager will also select a project coordinator who will assist him/her in managing the time, schedule, progress, and budget of the project.
The project team will utilize a chain of command know as a
