A Project manager is one of the most important role for effective Project management, described as “[to] take responsibility for planning, implementing and completing the project” (Meredith & Mantel, 2000: 85) getting the right person on the right job with careful section which this person must be able to collaborate resources for the project and to able to deliver a clear message and direction on the job, coordination and integration to the whole project team, it is also important that he or she is able induce to address the right issue and make the right decision, and also constantly reviewing progression performance.
In this case study of as the Project Manager for Regency Plaza, Kris Hodgkins as a project manger is expected to meet strict deadlines with resource restraints within her reached, and she is unable to clearly draft an overview of the whole project activities that is going on this assigned project, she also overlooked to the accessing of the risk assessment and working within the given budgeting that might incurred some unseen factors of the project.
Quality of an effective project manger must consist of some characteristics.

1. System Thinker
Able to take a holistic rather than a reductionist approach to projects. Instead of breaking into project segment and managing it by understanding each part. It must understand how to join up the pieces and collate and deliver a positive outcome.
2. Proactive
To take action before the situation worsen and minimize the impact before it escalates into major problem.
3. High emotional intelligence (EQ)
To have command and control of their emotions and be able to respond constructively to others when thing get out of hand.
4. General business perspective
Important for a project manager to have a generic understanding of the business fundamentals
