1.1 Explain the Welfare requirements and guidance in the early years framework

Settings must take all the necessary steps to keep children safe and well, they must ensure the suitability of all adults who come into contact with them via vetting procedures, health, training, qualifications and ratio 's, they must inform Ofsted of any changes in circumstance of any staff or family member i.e. criminal conviction. promote good health, and a healthy attitude towards food/drink and a healthy lifestyle including no smoking and have good hygiene routines and take into consideration and special dietary needs. manage behaviour effectively and appropriately according to stage of development with positive outcomes. maintain records, policies and procedures ensuring any personal information is kept confidential and in accordance with the data protection act. manage illness and cross contamination and have a first aid box accessible at all times manage complaints and have a written procedures for dealing with concerns and complaints manage premises and environments so they are safe via risk assessments and ongoing records
Outings must be risk assessed and have written permission from parents be confident in child protection issues, there must be a policy and procedure to safeguard and be in line with the guidance of the local safeguarding children 's board, it must include what to do if a allegation is made against a member of staff or family member and cover mobile phones and cameras in the setting.
Equal opportunities, there must be a policy and procedure in place and it must be promoted for all children including supporting children with additional needs.

1.2 Explain the lines of reporting and responsibly within the workforce
