1.0 ABSTRACT: Generally public access to the archival is accessible or free. But there are many barries or challenges to user to access the material from the archives. In this 5 articles are review about the barries of public access and from many ways. In order to promoting public access to the archives, the management of archive must know the solution to overcome this challenges and archivist must be clever to promote to public. The barries of public access is to get approval from local authorities. If the files or the material that important or confidential. Because government not easy to give or simply give access to get that important to user. The non government also very strict about this, because their record is very secret or confidential. Because the their record contain about their secret or information of their company or agencies. And the files is difficult to search because of many the record if the file in printes material. It is because archives not populor among people and society. People or society not know about the important of archives of themselves. Furthermore, the advertising about archives is not enough to get people know about archives. People tend to familiar with in easy way, for example in phone, television,internet. People not appereciate with the material in archives. Because people lack of awareness of the history of files that have very important value. Next is lack of skill to manage the archives in heritage file or record. Maybe archives management not quite have skill because of various historical differences. In organising, documenting and managing is quite challenging to do. So it affect the promoting public access to the archives, because the material in archives not properly or tidy and neat to
