Amongst the various alternative therapies available, ‘Biomedical Therapy’ is prominent. It is defined as the dietary modification and nutrition supplementations that target a person’s biochemistry with an aim of improved wellness. It also includes all complementary and alternative medicine approaches. It is usually the naturopathic physician who opts for biomedical therapy. Naturopathy aims at identifying and removing the causes of illness, rather than eliminating or suppressing the symptoms.
But unfortunately, there is a debate on whether biomedical therapy for treating autism is safe for children. Biomedical therapy for treatment of autism is considered faulty by some as they make assumptions about the causes of autism based on the theory of evidence.
