Pros And Cons Of Snap Chat
Snap chat & Facebook Over the past few years snap chat had witnessed rapid growth among teenagers and adults. On the other hand, Facebook had been witnessing growth over a longer amount of time than any other social media network. Teenagers and adults at younger age loved the idea of snap chat and the new way of communication that had not existed before. With no doubt Facebook has always been the number one social communication network. If it was not for Facebook then all the newer social media networks have existed. With every new network the competition goes back to Facebook, and people start comparing the features with Facebook. Snap chat however started a new way of communication that allows the user to send a picture that will be deleted from the receivers phone automatically after a maximum of ten seconds. However the users are tricked in some way with all the new hacks and apps that have been showing up. …show more content…
Once Facebook was created it opened up people’s minds in different ways to see what’s going around daily. The pros of Facebook are endless to the users. Even if a user is not into world news, or what is going on around the world they can view it if a friend of theirs share a post about it. This attracts the user that does not care to start thinking about how important what is going around in our world is. As it was mentioned earlier, with every positive there is a negative. Facebook allows the user to post whatever they want to post without any limits, unless whomever the post offends reports the post that offended them to the company. However, this creates more hate than there is into the people. How many suicide cases have we heard that where caused by social media cyber bullying. Even though Facebook every day builds more privacy options into the network barely any user uses

A significant social trend in our generation’s youth was the explosion of the social networking sites. Meanwhile MySpace.com hit the networking in 2003 tripling Linkedin 's users. Finally Facebook.com was created in 2004 but only for Harvard college students then two years later Facebook was launched to the public and today Facebook has 150 million members. Facebooks model is to promote honesty and openness. The second negative thing about facebook is not privacy. One day, my sister I see she is uploading photos to facebook of her birthday and said to me, “Es de mi cumpleanos son para mis amigas para que las vean por si no fueron”, and my mom said to her, “Niña no estes subiendo fotos aunque sea de tus cumpleaños”, because those pages there are many people who do not know as stalkers or pedophiles, because you never know who is watching or sometimes put personal information in facebook and this is not correct because never know who use this information for kidnap or other things.…

One of the positive sides of Snapchat is that it is used to keep in touch with friends and allows you to see each other instead of just sending messages. If your friend lives far away from you it is another great form of communication. Also, it is a great way to keep track of your memories. Everywhere you go or do something with someone you can take pictures and save them. Plus you get to have fun with all the filters that can affect the pictures.…

The biggest issue with Facebook is the fact that people feel entitled to comment about everything. Most comments I have seen are not hateful in nature—most comments are “status updates” about your laundry list and other insignificant things, but all this freedom to express EVERY SINGLE idea leads to some really negative conversations and comments as well. The statistics from I-Safe found in the article “Is Facebook Manking You Mean?” states that 58% of kids say someone has been mean or hurtful to them online, and 53% of kids say they’ve been mean or hurtful to another person online. These statistics prove that over half of people online have cruel intentions or are more likely to express their negativity online. These shocking statistics tell me that we all need to be more selective about…

From the girl who played in your sandbox twenty years ago to the man who fathers your soon-to-be adopted child from India, social networking websites grants you the opportunity to connect with just about anyone you please in a way you couldn’t have years ago. While such an opportunity sounds like what eating a bowl of your favorite ice cream feels like, being a part of the cyber world can prove to be disadvantageous. Social networking sites allow you to connect with old friends from high school, family that lives far away, in my case, even in another country as missionaries, friends down the street, coworkers, and just about anyone else you can think of. This can make you feel more connected to the world around you. You can keep up with what everyone is doing and accomplishing in their lives very easily through statuses and pictures posted every day. I have met new family members, whether by marriage or by birth, through Facebook who I otherwise have not had the opportunity to meet. One of my uncles, who recently passed away, had an affair about thirty years ago and did not realize he had a son from that affair until his son decided to find his father. Facebook is the only way I have been able to meet my new found cousin and his family. But when you start looking at the downside of social networking, it can make you wonder if it is really worth the cost. There have been many debates on the issues of using these sites for many years, so there have been quite a few downsides brought to the public’s attention such as health issues like anxiety or depression, lower grades for students of all levels, decreased productivity in the workplace, someone being stalked and so forth. Since there are way too many to cover in this paper, I am going to concentrate on three that I feel are some of the most important issues. Some of the issues with social networking sites are identity theft made easier, cyber bullying, which has caused many suicides, and strong face-to-face relationships suffering and being replaced by weaker online relationships.…

One of my favorite things about Snapchat is that the app allows me to keep in touch with my friends, keep up with the most up-to-date pop culture, is interactive, and has a relaxation factor. I enjoy the fact that there’s something called views on Snapchat. Views are how many people have seen your story. This element of competition appeals to the ambitious part of myself, which makes the community even more interesting and addicting. One thing that is agitating about Snapchat, as with many other social media outlets, is the privacy factors are often compromised.…

Dear parents I will explain my argument between my friend and I over Snapchat, I have to explain what social media is. In the beginning of the 21st century, we were introduced to MySpace and Facebook, but that all changed in the 2010. Our generation was Introduced to Snapchat, Instagram and Tinder. Social media is embedded in our generation's mind, if you have a phone most likely you are connected by either snapchat or Facebook; social media is a way to connect with your friends over the internet like an email. We see the difference in generations within the reaches of technology. Recent generations are developing with a mindset that demoralizes their privacy, thinking that flaunting their actions will increase one's social status.…

Facebook as a social network is equally valued and criticized. It’s true that no company other than Facebook has connected us together the way that we have been connected in the past decade but many criticize the social network it actually isolates people rather than brings them together. There has been much debate on social media such as, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and others. However, is it technically Positive or Negative? There are many reports on Facebook being a vital object for teens today and there have been plenty of complaints about it as well. My stand on the matter is that Facebook is a vital part of many teens lives, and without it they wouldn’t have the interesting conversation they have nor, the best friends either, they wouldn’t even have the knowledge they consumed on Facebook as well. There are copious amounts of research on the matter, from articles, to essays, to even online reports that give ample reason as to so.…
