Get Your Mind Right. The Average Agent tries to sell one house at a time. He or she may want to sell more than one house, may even think he is selling more than one house at a time. However, how many agents conduct themselves at an Open House tells a different story.

In training agents how to work an Open House I find they do one of two things. Focus on selling the house they are in or on picking up the would be Buyer as a client. Truth is, most fall into the second, they focus solely on picking up a new client. They work on selling themselves and not the house. Guess what? People don’t go to Open House to find Real
Estate agents, they go to Open House to see a house. If you never take the time to show them the house and you only talk about
