Protoevangelium Religion
Protoevangelium, this word is usually lost in translation, but the “first gospel” is what starts the bible and is most important to prepare for what is to come. While Jesus is often considered as the new Adam, Mary is the new Eve. Both set of people are the firsts of their kind, they came into this world and changed it, either for the better or worse. Mary and Jesus came to the world to reverse the actions of Adam and Eve. God gave them special missions, for Mary and Eve it was to be important mothers, and for Jesus and Adam they were important in guiding the herd in the right direction, and to call each one by their name. Mary's and Jesus’ responses to God's commands helped to lead them in the right path to get us to heaven to be with Him …show more content…
Adam was the first man ever created, he was brought to life by the hand of God “...then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life” (Gen 2:7). Jesus was brought into this world by a miracle also, He was born to the virgin Mary. Adam was put on Earth to be in charge of every living thing, while Christ came down to save every person that lived. Adam named all the animals which roamed the Earth, while Christ calls each one of us by name. Adam is the shepherd of the animals, while we should follow the good shepherd, Christ, to lead us in the right direction to return back to him. Jesus is the obedient Son of the Father because He obeyed God’s commands even to the point of death, to save the whole world. Adam however is the disobedient son who couldn't follow one rule that God had asked him and his wife to follow, Adam along with his wife Eve ate of the tree of knowledge in the center of the garden. Adam and Jesus were both tempted, Adam with the fruit to gain all knowledge and Jesus when the devil approaches Him on a cliff and offers to give Him all in the world, “Then Jesus was lead up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil” (Mt 4:1), the difference is that Adam gives into his temptations, while Jesus knows to resist, and that He would not give in the the devil's

She often compares herself to people in the Bible. When she was younger she had trouble with spiritual accounts. For this she brings up 2 Corinthian 12. 9. This scripture tells that God's grace is enough for her. Then later she brings up Job 1. 15 that says “And I only am escaped alone to tell the News(221).” This scripture is significant to Mary because she feels as though she was alive because she was chosen to tell of the events that occurred during King Philip's War.…

Adam 's sin, as recounted in the Book of Genesis is sometimes called in Hebrew (translated: the first sin of man, or Adam). Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 share many similarities, but also differ in some respects. Both chapters of the Holy Bible describe the events surrounding the creation of human life, however, Genesis 1 is less detailed. In Genesis 1, it is merely stated (Genesis 1:27) that “God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Contrastingly, Genesis 2 expands upon this brief depiction, relating the creation in a more detailed fashion. In Genesis 2:7, the creation of man is recounted: “(7) Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being.”…

The prophecy of the coming Messiah, who was sent by God and sacrificed for all the sins of the world as well as the Immaculate Conception of the virgin Mary are two of the most popular stories of the Bible. The story of Jesus’ journey on earth began with the appearance of the angel Gabriel to Mary as she was engaged to a carpenter named Joseph. The angel informed Mary that God chose her to be the mother of the Son of God (History of Jesus Christ, n.d.).…

    l. 105-107). We know this is God's doing as there are no other shapes that matches ours', and we stand tall on two feet instead of four. We stand above other creature just as God stands above us. By extension, God creating us is a way He has proven that He "works in us by his will"(Slick). This is also indication that he uses us to create a new beginning in a way that He won't have to interact with us. A way that he uses others to create his image is through Jesus was born of a virgin "mother, but his sire / The power of the Most High: He shall ascend" (Book XII. l. 368-369). Using Jesus, He brought us further away from perdition, but the fact still stands that he can't fully decide our lives. There was no way that God could have prevented "Th' infernal serpent; he it was, whose guile, / Stirred up with envy and revenge"(Book I. l. 34-35). Adam and Eve's interactions with the serpent wasn't prevented by God. It happened, and we paid the price for. So in what way can we justify God's actions for allowing us to fall from grace? Many would argue that this was to allow us to build ourselves up; to prove ourselves. And yet, the serpent was still able to get into our minds. It was able to excite the senses into knowledge that…

To begin with, God as a loving partner and God as a warrior are compatible with Adam and Eve. As a loving partner, God made Eve so that Adam would not be alone (Genesis 2:18). He blessed Adam and Eve and gave them power over all the creatures of the earth (Genesis 1:26). He gave them the whole Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15)! The only thing God asked them not to do was eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:17). Adam and Eve disobeyed God when they ate the fruit from this tree God told them not to eat from. This is when God became a warrior. He cursed the serpent and took his legs away and told him he would eat dust all the rest of his days (Genesis 3:14). He told Eve that conception would be painful and sorrowful for women (Genesis 3:16). He told Adam that men would have to work hard every day in order to have food to eat (Genesis 3:17).
