Psychic Reading In Macbeth
“A psychic reading is not just about career opportunities, good fortune or meeting tall, dark strangers. It is a sacred portal to manifesting your true destiny.” (Marten) Do psychics know the future of their clients? Perhaps they are just telling lies to please you enough. Even though, this relates to life, it also relates to The Tragedy of Macbeth. It was harmful for Macbeth to hear his future from the witches. In Act 2, Banquo, Fleance and Macbeth are talking as Banquo brings up how the king mentions that he had a dream about three ‘weird’ sisters-- also known as the witches. Banquo suggests the witches were not completely lying to Macbeth when they had the psychic reading in Act 1. Later after, Banquo and Fleance leave and Macbeth is by himself as he sees a flying dagger as he tried to grasp the dagger, it denies …show more content…
“All’s well. I dreamt last night of the three weird sisters: To you they have showed some truth.” (2.1.18-20) Banquo was talking about how he had a dream about the three witches and how there was little truth. Macbeth just replies saying that he does not think of the witches that much, but will talk about this situation later. “So I lose none, in seeking to augment it, but still keep, my bosom franchised and allegiance clear, I shall be counselled.” (2.1.26-29) Banquo says that he will do anything as long as he will have a good conscience; he has no idea what evil deed Macbeth is going to do. The truth will be revealed that Macbeth killed Duncan, and Macbeth might not even become the King. Some might think that, Macbeth, talking to the witches was helpful—by helping him become the King. Even though, helping Macbeth become the King: it made it worse since he was brave at the beginning of the play and now he is a coward. The witches supposedly were only telling half the truth, what could they be lying about or telling the truth
