To make patients better, they have to study their biological, psychological and genetic causes of behavior. Psychologists take everything they learn from their research in college to help their patients. As a profession, psychology requires a high level of intelligence. I believe psychologists are an important part of our society today because of how they make the human brain function better.
When psychologists help their patients before they do anything they first have to analyze their mental illness. After they understand what’s causing their problem they may do mental exercises and/or activities to help. Psychology is a discipline for the brain that takes years of practice.
