Post-Traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Post-Traumatic stress disorder can occur in anyone but it all starts when a terrifying event happens and basically scars you for life. I have one cousin who was in the military who has (PTSD) and he said the horrors of war gave him the disorder. Many people who have the disorder do get it from after they leave the military it’s very common and many veterans go to see therapists for physiological help.
The causes of (PTSD) are always traumatic events. Places where most of these events occur include the following: Assault, Car accidents, domestic abuse, natural disasters, prison, sexual assault, terrorism, and military. Although it may seem like (PTSD) can only occur in adults that is highly untrue. (PTSD) can occur in anyone of any age since it’s your genes, emotions, and family setting may all play roles. These are the causes of (PTSD).
The Symptoms of (PTSD) is one reliving the event, which disturbs day-to-day activity. Flashback episodes in which the event seems to be happening again and again causing distress to you and your mind. Another symptom is avoidance. Basically avoidance makes it seem like you don’t care about anyone or anything. Less moods are shown and you feel like you have no future. One more symptom is negative thoughts and moods and feelings. This means that you feel constant guilt about the event (including survivor guilt). You also can’t recall certain events and you blame others for the events that took place. These are the symptoms of (PTSD).
Treatment for (PTSD) can be administered through therapists and just talking about it. One type of therapy that is often used for PTSD is called desensitization. During therapy, you are encouraged to remember the traumatic event and express your feelings about it. Over time, memories of the event become less frightening. You can also recover from this disorder with medicines. The medicine can help ease depression or
